Karnataka youth loses Rs 16 lakh in UK work visa scam by Mangaluru academy

A woman from Vadderahobli village reported a job scam. Her son responded to a Facebook ad promising a UK employment visa. The academy in Mangaluru demanded Rs 16 lakh. He paid, but never received the visa. The accused issued a cheque that bounced. Kundapur Police registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
