Cruise Passenger Thrown Overboard, Injured Amidst Extreme Weather

A passenger on a Norwegian Cruise Line ship was thrown overboard as the boat departed the pier amidst severe weather conditions, U.S.A. Today reported.

According to a statement from Norwegian Cruise Line, the incident occurred on May 30 while the vessel was docked in Catania, Italy. The passenger was in the process of disembarking the ship when strong wind gusts caused them to fall over, tumbling off the gangway and into the water below.
