Russian Navy launches newest Project 11711 landing ship

The Russian Navy has launched the latest Project 11711 landing ship, Vladimir Andreyev.

As disclosed, the launching ceremony took place at Yantar Shipyard, a division under Russia’s state-owned United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC), on May 30, 2025.

The large landing ship of Project 17111 is designed to transport marine landing troops and military equipment. A ship-based multi-purpose or transport-combat helicopter can be based on the deck.
