SF Giants offensive woes continue in extra-inning loss to Padres

SAN FRANCISCO — Logan Webb pitched eight scoreless innings, matching his season high, but the Giants lost to the San Diego Padres, 1-0, in 10 innings on Monday at Oracle Park as the offense failed to capitalize on numerous opportunities with runners in scoring position.

The Padres scored the lone run of the night in the bottom of the 10th inning when Jose Iglesias drove in Jake Cronenworth — the automatic runner — with a sacrifice fly off reliever Ryan Walker, putting the Giants in a 1-0 deficit.
