2025 Topeka Fire Department Citizens Fire Academy applications now open

TOPEKA (KSNT) - The Topeka Fire Department (TFD) will be hosting a Citizens Academy in the Fall of 2025.

City of Topeka spokesman Dan Garrett said the academy will teach people about fire safety and emergency services. The academy opens Thursday, Aug. 7, and will run through Thursday, Sept. 11. Sessions will run from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. each Thursday.
