Priyanka Gandhi Vadra expressed grief over deaths caused by heavy rains and floods in northeastern states. Lakhs of people are affected in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. She urged central and state governments to expedite relief operations. Assam government provided ex gratia to the kin of the deceased.
