One dead after 12 shot in mass shooting: North Carolina sheriff
CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. (WJZY) -- One person is dead after a reported mass shooting that left at least 12 people hurt in Hickory, North Carolina, according to the Catawba County Sheriff's Office.
Around 12:45 a.m. on Sunday, June 1, law enforcement responded to reports of multiple people shot at a residence in the Mountain View community, about 60 miles north of Charlotte.
Officials said 12 victims have been reported; one of which was pronounced dead, one in critical condition, and several others still hospitalized.
