2-alarm fire stops trains near the Rose Quarter
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A 2-alarm fire caused all trains near the Rose Quarter to stop while firefighters doused the blaze at the former grain silos, officials with Portland Fire & Rescue said.
The fire was spotted around 7:45 p.m. Saturday at 900 North Thunderbird Way. The trains were stopped so fire crews could cross the tracks with the hose lines.
Firefighters found fire on the second floor and third floor, but it did not extend to any upper floors, authorities said.
