Effective Wednesday, 4 June: Trump says will double steel, aluminum tariffs to 50%

President Trump announced plans to double tariffs on steel and aluminum imports to 50%, to protect US industry, while promoting a controversial partnership between US Steel and Japan’s Nippon Steel.
