Rs 10 lakh fine on 4 mini pumping station operators for waterlogging after Mumbai rains

Following heavy rains and significant waterlogging in Mumbai, the BMC has penalized four mini pumping station operators Rs 10 lakh each for failing to install and operate pumps effectively. The operators at Hindmata, Gandhi Market, Yellow Gate, and Chunabhatti did not adhere to pre-monsoon preparedness plans, leading to traffic disruptions and brief suspension of train services.
