BJP MLA Adesh Chauhan sentenced to six months imprisonment, gets bail

A special CBI court in Dehradun has sentenced BJP MLA Adesh Chauhan and his niece to six months imprisonment in a 16-year-old case. The case involves the assault of a man and his family at a Haridwar police station in 2009 following a dowry harassment complaint. Three policemen were also sentenced, though one has since died.
