Brave army officer Lieutenant Shashank Tiwari dies heroically rescuing fellow soldier in North Sikkim

In North Sikkim, Lieutenant Shashank Tiwari tragically passed away. He was rescuing Agniveer Stephan Subba from a torrent stream. Subba slipped off a log bridge during an operational patrol. Naik Pukar Katel assisted in the rescue. They saved Subba, but Tiwari was swept away. His body was recovered downstream. The Indian Army and top officials have expressed their condolences.
