Man shot and killed after standoff with Columbus police during barricade incident

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- One person is dead after police officers were reportedly shot at during a barricade situation Monday night in northeast Columbus.

According to Columbus police, officers responded to the 4000 block of Hampton Woods Drive in the Strawberry Farms area at approximately 9:40 p.m. for an unknown complaint. A person who called 911 told police that it sounded like a man was assaulting a woman inside of an apartment and that he was threatening to kill her.
