NBC Posts Full ‘SNL’ Goodnights After Season 50 Finale Gets Cut Off

Saturday Night Live’s Season 50 finale had an abrupt end, but NBC came to the rescue. At the end of the live broadcast on May 17, guest host Scarlett Johansson’s thank yous and the cast’s traditional “goodnights” were cut off as the network cut to a commercial. The ad, for Suits L.A., cut off the show at 1:02 a.m., two minutes past its normal ending time on the East Coast.

Viewers of the live show saw Johansson and musical guests Bad Bunny and RaiNao on the stage with the full Saturday Night Live cast.
