Update: Wind advisory in place for Antelope Valley Foothills and Antelope Valley for Saturday and Sunday

Western Antelope Valley Foothills and Antelope Valley are under an updated wind advisory which was issued by the National Weather Service on Friday at 7 p.m. The advisory is valid from Saturday 10 a.m. until Sunday, May. 18 at 3 a.m.

The NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA said, “Southwest winds 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected. Isolated gusts to 55 mph in the western foothills.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
