Preparations underway for annual canal festival

WATERFORD, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Tents were lined up on Friday along the Erie Canal in Waterford ahead of the annual canal festival. Last week's heavy rainfall delayed the opening of the canal, which typically coincides with the festival.

But organizers said they're not letting that get in the way of their good time. The portions of the festival that happen on land are going on as planned.
