Popular 'Survivor' Contestant Jane Bright Dead at 71

It's a sad day in the reality show community, as one of its favorite personalities has passed away. Those who watched the reality program Survivor likely recognize her name.

Jane Bright has died. She was 71 years old. Her daughter, Ashley Hammett, announced that her mother passed away in her North Carolina home on Thursday, May 15, in a post on social media. Ashley wrote, "Today Jane Hammett Bright was found passed away within her home by a good friend and county sheriff."

Bright appeared on Survivor: Nicaragua in 2010.
