Trump is 'laundering' new scheme through DOD to 'remove illegality and taint': Top Dem

Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) accused President Donald Trump of attempting to “launder” a $400 million luxury jet from the Qatari government through the U.S. Defense Department – a so-called gift the lawmaker said is “a clear violation of the Constitution.”

“This is a massive $400 million gift to Donald Trump,” Schiff said Wednesday during an appearance on CNN’s “The Source.”

“What he’s essentially seeking to do is launder this plane through the Defense Department,” he told host Kaitlan Collins.
