Eunice police investigate death of inmate with medical history

EUNICE, La. (KLFY) -- Monday morning, Eunice police officers were notified that an inmate in their jail was found unresponsive. Chief Kyle LeBouef spoke on the incident to find out who this inmate was and what could have happened.

LeBouef has confirmed the identity of the inmate as 55-year-old James Booksh.

Booksh was arrested on May 9 on domestic abuse battery charges and LeBouef says it was later discovered Booksh had an history of medical issues.
