Taco Mac Closes Its Original Location After 46 Years

A beloved restaurant chain is closing an iconic location after 46 years.

In those decades, the chain has expanded to 28 locations throughout the U.S.

But now, Taco Mac is closing its first-ever location, which has existed for 46 years.

"Taco Mac, a beloved staple of Atlanta’s dining and sports bar scene since 1979, today announced the closure of its original location in Virginia-Highlands," the chain announced in a May 12, 2025, press release.
