Summer-like heat moving into Acadiana

Tuesday is off to another comfortably mild start across Acadiana but much hotter weather arrives today and sets the tone for the rest of the workweek. Temperatures are in the lower 60s this morning followed by highs reaching the upper 80s during the afternoon. Conditions turn breezy and more humid too. Southwesterly winds will gust over 20 mph at times.

Summer-like heat will continue to increase in the coming days as highs near 90° by Friday. Heat index values could flirt with the 100s by this weekend.
