Pollachi rape case: All 9 accused sentenced to life imprisonment till death; court directs Rs 85 lakh compensation for 8 survivors

A Coimbatore court has sentenced nine individuals to life imprisonment in the Pollachi rape case. The District Mahila Court delivered the verdict on Tuesday. The accused were found guilty of sexually assaulting women and extorting them. The Tamil Nadu government has been directed to provide compensation to the survivors.
