Fox News pundit: Trump must suspend habeas corpus if Supreme Court can't 'understand' law

Right-wing attorney Mehek Cooke argued that President Donald Trump should suspend habeas corpus rights if the U.S. Supreme Court "cannot understand" that he has a legal right to deport migrants without due process.

During a Sunday interview, Fox News host Kevin Corke asked Cooke to respond to White House aide Stephen Miller's threat to suspend the right to challenge detentions in court, which is known as habeas corpus.

"Look, Kevin, I think the first and the last line of defense today are our courts," Cooke explained.
