Countering Trump’s Trade Trickery

As reckless and irredeemable as Donald Trump’s tariff campaign is, some good can come of it. The key is for countries to preserve or increase free trade among themselves and reduce their dependence on the US in other realms (such as defense), while working together to persuade the US to abandon its costly protectionism.
