Doechii Laughs Off Met Gala Umbrella Controversy

On Monday, Doechii made her Met Gala debut after emerging from the Mark Hotel inside a mysterious box. Though it wasn’t immediately clear who was in the rolling enclosure, a TikTok later surfaced confirming it was the Swamp Princess herself.

But that TikTok — which showed Doechii getting out of an elevator before disappearing inside the contraption — set off quite a bit of backlash online, with people taking issue with the rapper’s treatment of her team.
