Jenu Kuruba families reoccupy ancestral land in Nagarahole Tiger Reserve

Four decades after being evicted under the guise of wildlife protection, around four dozen Jenu Kuruba families have re-entered Nagarahole Tiger Reserve to reclaim their ancestral lands. They constructed makeshift huts, asserting their rights under the Forest Rights Act, which have yet to be recognized.
