Five Acadiana hospitals achieve 'birth-ready' status for maternal care

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY)-- Five hospitals in Acadiana along with 30 others in the state were recognized as 'birth-ready' by the Louisiana Department of Health.

The Louisiana Birth Ready Designation is given to hospitals improving birth outcomes for women and reducing maternal mortality.
