Union Bank probing lapses in procurement of Subramanian's book worth Rs 7.25 crore

Union Bank of India is investigating irregularities in the purchase of approximately 2 lakh copies of K V Subramanian's book, valued at around Rs 7.25 crore. The government terminated Subramanian's IMF position early, and Congress alleges impropriety and misuse of public funds related to the book procurement, claiming the books were intended for distribution to promote the government's agenda.
