Convicted felon Trump is obsessed with putting other people in prison

President Donald Trump on Sunday said he wants to reopen the Alcatraz prison in San Francisco, to house "America's most ruthless and violent Offenders"—an asinine idea that critics say will cost an absurd amount of money.

In a Sunday night post on Truth Social, Trump wrote:

REBUILD, AND OPEN ALCATRAZ! For too long, America has been plagued by vicious, violent, and repeat Criminal Offenders, the dregs of society, who will never contribute anything other than Misery and Suffering.
