Met Gala Themes: Every Theme From the Past 10 Years Leading Up to 2025

The 2025 Met Gala is happening today (May 5)!

This year’s theme will focus on menswear, with a “Tailored for You” dress code.

The event will celebrate the opening of the museum’s new exhibition “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” which draws inspiration from Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity. There are six celebrities serving as co-chairs for the 2025 gala, plus 25 more stars who are part of the host committee.
