2 dead after SUV crashes into NAIA departure area

MANILA, Philippines – Two people died and several were injured on Sunday, May 4, after an SUV crashed into the departure area of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1.

The Philippine Red Cross said that at approximately 8:55 am, a black SUV crashed through the outer railing at the departure area and into the walkway near the entrance, ramming into one of the doors.

“The incident tragically resulted in the deaths of two individuals — a male adult and a 4-year-old girl,” it added.
