Six Flags America Is Closing for Good

Six Flags America and Hurricane Harbor are closing for good.

Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, which defines itself as "the largest amusement park operator in North America," made the announcement in a press release on May 1, 2025.

Six Flags America and Hurricane Harbor are located in Bowie, MD, in Prince George's County. They will close "after the 2025 operating season," the company says.

The park’s final operating day will be Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025, the company wrote.

A top official expressed disappointment.
