Apple Juice Brand Announces Massive Recall For 'Toxic Substance'
A prominent apple juice brand has been forced to recall a massive number of bottles of apple juice as a result of a potential toxic substance.
This week, Martinelli's has announced a recall of more than 170,000 bottles of apple juice because there is a chance that their contents have contaminated by patulin, a toxic substance that is produced by some fungi.
"To date, we have not had any reported health issues related to the recall," Martinelli's said in a statement emailed to CBS MoneyWatch.
