Kashmir tensions soar amid deadly attack and border clashes

Indian and Pakistani soldiers exchanged gunfire for a fourth consecutive night in Kashmir, the Indian army reported on Monday. Pakistan’s defence minister stated that troops had been reinforced at the border, warning of an “imminent” military incursion by India. Relations have worsened after India accused Pakistan of supporting cross-border terrorism, following an attack that killed 26 people in the contested region.
