India, France ink Rs 63,000 cr deal for 26 Rafale Marine fighter jets

India and France have signed a Rs 63,000 crore deal for 26 Rafale M Fighter jets, approved by the Cabinet Committee on Security earlier this month. The jets were selected by the Indian Navy after a competitive process that also considered the Boeing F/A 18 Super Hornet, with Rafale being chosen for its suitability and compatibility with the Indian Air Force's existing fleet.
