PCH stretch near Palisades fire area reopens after mudslides closure

A portion of Pacific Coast Highway in the Malibu area closed due to debris slides from Saturday’s rain reopened on Sunday morning, April 27.

Caltrans reported Saturday that there was “much mud to clear still at Tuna Canyon Road. Now closed at Sunset Blvd. for better turnaround. PCH closed btwn Sunset and Carbon Beach Terrace.”

The agency said earlier Saturday that debris was blocking both directions of PCH at Topanga Canyon Boulevard, La Tuna and Big Rock. There was no access between Topanga Canyon and Carbon Beach Terrace...
