Pope Francis in currently being laid to rest during a solemn funeral service at St Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City, attended by more than 200,000 mourners and representatives from 170 countries.
Finnish President Alexander Stubb and US President Donald Trump are sitting next to each other at the ceremony, separated only by a narrow aisle. The seating arrangement, broadcast live, placed the two leaders prominently among dozens of heads of state and royalty gathered for the occasion.
