Topeka kids receive new beds, other items
TOPEKA (KSNT) — Some kids in the Capital City are going to sleep soundly Thursday night.
At Ross Elementary School on April 24, Impact Topeka gave away free beds, pajama sets, stuffed animals, new shoes and a hot meal.
"We come in to the schools, we talk to the kids about the importance of getting a good night's sleep," Impact Topeka co-founder Lauren Ewald said. "We do surveys and work with the schools to determine kiddos that are in need of a bed at home."
