St. John’s lands Cincinnati transfer Dillon Mitchell

Rick Pitino and St. John’s continue to transform their roster via the portal.

The Red Storm landed a commitment from 6-foot-8 Cincinnati transfer Dillon Mitchell.

The Tampa, Fla. native averaged 9.9 points and 6.9 rebounds last season at Cincinnati after two seasons at Texas. He shot 61% from the field.

Mitchell joins Ian Jackson (UNC), Osiyah Sellers (Stanford), Bryce Hopkins (Providence) and Joson Sanon (Arizona State) in St. John’s transfer portal class, ranked No.
