Flags lowered half-staff around NYC after Pope Francis’ death
NEW YORK (PIX11) – New York City Mayor Eric Adams has ordered all flags on city buildings to be lowered to half-staff following Pope Francis’ death on Monday.
The pope was 88 years old. He had been hospitalized earlier this year for a respiratory crisis, but was released and made several public appearances before his death.

“It is with great sadness that I mourn with billions around the world after learning of the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis,” Adams said in a statement.
