Youth caught attempting to rape 3-year-old cousin's daughter at wedding in Varanasi; held after being thrashed by locals

During a wedding celebration in Varanasi, a three-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by her mother's cousin brother. The accused lured the girl to a secluded area and attempted to rape her before the girl's mother intervened and alerted others. Locals apprehended and thrashed the accused before handing him over to the police, who have registered a case under Pocso act.
