‘The Conners’ Producer Teases ‘Emotional,’ Never-Before-Seen Series Finale

The Conners will end its seven-season run with something that has never been seen on TV. The tease came from executive producer Bruce Helford, who told TV Insider that the 37-year on-and-off run for the sitcom family will end in a very unique way.

“There’s something that happens in the final episode that I don’t think has ever happened on broadcast television,” Helford told the outlet in an April 2025 interview. “[It] is going to be really emotional,” The Conners showrunner added.
