EU Naval Force Operation Atalanta proposes joint exercise with Indian Navy

Vice Admiral Ignacio Villanueva Serrano, Operation Commander of EUNAVFOR ATALANTA, proposed a joint exercise with the Indian Navy later this year to enhance maritime security in the Western Indian Ocean and Red Sea. Recognising the Indian Navy as a major player, Serrano aims to foster coordination and cooperation for a free, open, sustainable, and inclusive Indian Ocean.
