Boy in critical condition after being stabbed in the face: NYPD

MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A teenager is in critical condition after being stabbed in the face in Midtown Manhattan Wednesday evening, according to the NYPD.

The incident happened around 7:08 p.m. near 44th Street and 8th Avenue.

The victim, a 14-year-old boy, was taken to a hospital for treatment. He was stabbed above the left eye, police say.

No arrests have been made. Investigations are ongoing.
