AUSTIN (KXAN) - It's something that we haven't seen much of recently, but when it does come, more often than not, we're grateful. We're talking about rain.

Raindrops are not in the shape most of us think of them as (pointed towards the top, rounded bottom). Raindrops are shaped by their size and friction/resistance from the air. This often leads most raindrops to be like a kidney bean or hamburger bun.

It's possible that some rain doesn't even reach the ground.
