Water taxis in the offing in Mumbai as govt plans to develop sea routes: Minister

Maharashtra is set to launch water taxi services in Mumbai. The government has prepared a detailed project report. Eight to nine routes have been identified. Electric vessels will soon connect Gateway of India to Alibaug and Elephanta. Fifteen vessels are being procured from a Swedish company. A Ro-Ro service from Mazgaon to Malvan will start during Ganpati.
