Moped rider pinned underneath vehicle in east Austin crash

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- A Moped rider is hurt and unconscious after being pinned underneath a vehicle in an east Austin crash at North Pleasant Valley Road, according to Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS).

The Austin Fire Department said fire crews have successfully removed the moped rider from underneath the vehicle. They are now being provided medical treatment by ATCEMS, according to AFD.

The fire agency said the roadway has been shut down and asked the public to avoid the area.
