White House urges Congress to cut federal funding for NPR, PBS
The White House is formally taking steps urging Congress to pull federal funding for NPR and PBS.
The New York Post reported Monday that President Donald Trump's budget director Russ Vought drafted a memo asking GOP lawmakers to slash $1.1 billion that was allotted to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), as well as $8.3 billion that was allotted to USAID.
