AFD investigating after 'abandoned structure' fire out in southeast Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Austin Fire Department said a fire was out after crews responded to a report of a structure fire in southeast Austin Monday. No injuries were reported, according to AFD.

The agency said on social media around 7 p.m. it responded to the 7800 block of Burleson Road for a report of "black smoke coming from" the structure.

When units arrived on the scene, they initially reported it was a "residential structure on fire and residents evacuating."
