Around 80 pc of Maharashtra farmers will get free power by Dec next year: Devendra Fadnavis

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced that approximately 80% of farmers in the state will receive free electricity by December 2026. This initiative aims to provide 12 hours of daytime electricity throughout the year, offering significant relief to the agricultural community. The government is actively working on generating 16000 MW of electricity under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Yojana.
